The arboretum is located near Przemysl in Bolestraszyce (about 7 km north-east).
It is a beautifully arranged large size terrain park and mansion, where in the mid-nineteenth century, lived and worked the excellent painter Piotr Michalowski. In the park you can see many rare species of plants and trees (often protected by law), and when walking among the amazingly planned and maintained greenery along the paths and bridges, you can enjoy the contact with the surrounding nature.
Here you can also see wicker sculptures - created during the International Plein-Air Art "Willows in the Arboretum" and as well a maze - also made of wicker.
The arboretum also houses the Museum of Natural History, which hosts a permanent exhibition (ornithological exhibition "Protecting birds" and the photo exhibition "XXV years of the Arboretum in Bolestraszyce") and temporary exhibitions.
Various exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events are organized as well.
