The cave is located in an altitude of 447 m above sea level. The name comes from the fossil remains found in the cave and from the living species of bats today. The Bat Cave is one of the largest caves in the Polish Jura, its length is 306 m and it has been encountered during archaeological work on animal bones, mostly cave bears (about four thousand canines, which with some luck you can still find today), but also the cave hyena, cave lion, badger, mammoth, prehistoric bison,  hairy rhinoceros, reindeer, horse and small rodents, birds and fish. The cave was the scenery for two move sets: "The Legend of Santa" and "With Fire and Sword".
