Botanical Garden of Adam Mickiewicz Univeristy (UAM) is located in Poznań's Jezyce district between the streets: Botaniczna, Dabrowskiego and Sw. Wawrzynca. It is one of the most popular parks in Poznan, a fantastic place for family walks.
When going there with little children, remember to take your stroller, because the area is really big.
In the garden you can see thousands of plants, virtually from the entire world. On two artificial hills there is a beutiful alpine garden with creeks and ponds (here you unfortunately can't enter with a stroller) and a dune. In many places in the garden you can find numerous boulders - the largest of which is about six meters high and 13 meters in circumference.
At the former stream of Seganka valley, there is a pond, fed by underground groundwater.
Older children can discover a lot of walking nature trails.
In the garden there is also a café, a bookshop and an Exhibition and Educational Pavilion.
