Brodnica Regional Museum is housed in a complex of three historic buildings - the Gate of Chelmno from the XIV century, Baroque granary from 1604 and in the basement of the fourteenth - century Teutonic castle.
At the granary you can see the permanent exhibition "Life of Mesolithic hunters from Mszana before 10 000 years", showing the selected areas of everyday life of the first inhabitants of the Brodnica region. An interesting exhibition is the reconstruction of Mesolithic hunters camp, made a 1:1 scale, which is made of materials available at that time.
Visitors can touch the exhibits and even make them work in a way, for which they were intended.
At the castle the exhibition "Sculpture and architectural details of the castle chapel in Brodnica" and "Exhibition - Brodnica region in the Middle Ages" have been prepared, including valuable, interesting finds, such as equipment of castle's sculpture oratory, monuments associated with the old crafts, exposure of crossbows' arrows, medieval swords and forts mocks.
At the Gate of Chelmno, on two levels, you can see the temporary exhibition "The old weaponry from the collection of the Regional Museum in Toruń", where you can view exhibits of weapons and firearms.
