Vienna's butterfly house (German: Schmetterlingshaus) is located in the heart of the city,
in a renovated Art Nouveau building, the Palm House at the Hofburg Palace, just 200 meters from the Opera House.
The space of the butterfly house has been specially arranged so that butterflies can live in an environment similar to the natural, and guests can enjoy the waterfall, a small pond and a few bridges that make up the picturesque landscape. The air temperature is 27°C and humidity of 80%.
Visitors will enjoy a multitude of colorful butterflies flying freely in different parts of the world (hundreds of butterflies from over 50 species).
An interesting attraction, especially for children, is the opportunity to observe how a larva transforms into a butterfly.
