The Gas Museum is housed in the old buildings of the former gas plant, which operated in Paczków to 1977.
The museum's collection includes a variety of gas equipment used years ago, including devices used in homes. In total, there are over 3000 exhibits, including about 600 different meters. Particularly rich is a collection of diaphragm gas meters, whose base design has not changed for over 100 years. A big attraction are also chips meters withdrawn in Poland after the Second World War.
In modern arranged rooms there is quite a big collection of gas lamps, household appliances: ovens, stoves, heaters, curling irons, irons and industrial equipment. One of the most interesting exhibits is a gas refrigerator. It is worth noting that the majority of the equipment is fully operational. In addition to the museum facilities there are also ads for gas meters from the nineteenth century.
Due to the proper location of the exhibits you can see the entire production process. The interactive exhibition shows an interesting history of gas, and the whole area of the museum is lit by gas lamps.
