Łokietek's Cave is also known as the Royal Cave. It is associated with the legend of Wladyslaw Łokietek, who found here shelter after fleeing from Krakow from the forces of the Czech King Wenceslas II. A spider saved his life by covering the mouth of the cave with a spider's web, misleading the pursuit. A reminder of this event are the names of the cave and its various chambers, and the gate in the shape of a spider's web, closing the entrance.

The cave consists of the Central Corridor, the Hall of Knights', from where by narrow passage  you enter the Kitchen and the Bedroom. The total length of the corridors and chambers is about 320 m, the temperature inside 7-8°C, so during the summer it is recommended to wear additional warm clothing, especially by children.

Duration of the tour is about 30 minutes.
