This is the oldest arboretum in Poland. You will see here plants from around the world. In particular, many species of tree flora present in a Eastern Asia (Japan, Korea, China) and North America. Sshrubs and trees from the mountain areas of Central Asia and the Caucasus grow here as well.

The number of species and varieties in the collections of the arboretum is now about 3500. Here are, among others, the Korean fir, Chinese kolkwitzia, Greek fir or bald cypress with  the oldest pneumatophors in Poland.

Big is also a centuries-old culture of native trees, some of which are limes, beeches, oaks and century-old woody magnolias exotic. There are also collections of birch, apple and cherry trees, ornamental shrubs such as lilacs, forsythia, meadowsweet, rhododendrons and azaleas.

On the Kórnik's arboretum area the Institute of Dendrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences with experimental gardens and a museum of dendrology is located.
