Miedzyzdroje Pier has had an indeed turbulent history. Set against the elements it had to be rebuilt several times. The first sea bridge was built already in the nineteenth century - in 1885, but a more extensive version was built about twenty years later. Destroyed by storms, wars and fires, it prevailed till present times. For many years it served as a haven for cruise ships from the nearby ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie.

The shipping tradition returned to Międzyzdroje in 2004. The owner of the Adler-Schiffe invested in the extension of the pier and created a genuine sea haven. You can go on a cruise on the Baltic Sea, particularly to other ports of the island of Usedom. You'll find here as well smaller "pirate" ships, which run along the beaches towards the Kawcza Mountain.

The pier is a great place for walking. A good thing that the operator didn't copy the ideas of Sopot - the entrance here is free. The current length of the pier is 395 m.
