Paris Sewer Museum (Musée des Égouts de Paris) is a rather unusual place.
The walking route takes approximately 1 hour. During the tour we will learn the history of sewage and wastewater treatment, which dates back to ancient times, we hear about how drinking water is being harvested and see the work of the Parisian sewer workers.
Paris is probably the only city in the world with such an extensive sewerage system. In 1878, the length of underground sewer pipes in the city was 600 km, and today already covers 2 400 km.
Due to the rather peculiar smell ruling here is not a trip for people who are sensitive.
