The parrot house in Bydgoszcz, opened in 2016, is a new attraction not only for the residents of the city. An Eye-catching large-sized freely flying hall has become home to many exotic species of birds, which usually can be seen only in cages or in small numbers in pet stores. Currently the pavilion is inhabited, by: Amazon parrots, Red-breasted Parakeets, Rose-ringed Parakeets, Chinese Alexan, ordinary Ara, the African Grey Parrot, White cockatoo, Monk Parakeet, Nymphs, great lorikeet, sun parakeets, budgerigars and pipits.
A visit to the parrot-house is an interesting way to learn about the customs and behavior of the birds and the possibility of self-feeding with specially prepared feed, which can be purchased at the ticket office for a small fee. The birds can be stroked, planted on the shoulders and you can take a souvenir photo - children will definitely enjoy it.
When choosing a trip to the parrot-house you should wear sports clothes, preferably comfortable clothing with long sleeves. The floor of the hall is lined with chips, so wearing elegant high heels is not a good choice this time. Birds can sit down on us and the birds flying around us may do what they do from time to time, which should be kept in mind. All kinds of trinket-type earrings, necklaces and watches should be left at home as well.
Although the hall is cool and interesting, however, because of the number of winged creatures here it get's quite loud in here, which does not necessarily appeal to very young children.
