The Botanical Garden of PAN (Polish Academy of Science) in Powsin is a place that changes with each coming season.

Of particular note are greenhouses with tropical and subtropical plants. You can see the largest collection of citrus plants in Poland, including the unusual size of lemons, oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, shaddock and an interesting variety - citron, called as well the "hand of Buddha".

Worth to see here are as well: the arboretum and the collection of roses and perennials, and one of the biggest collections of Polish flora, gathered at an area of 1.4 hectares and including more than 500 species of plants. You should go here particularly during the time of plants' flowering.

Relatively new is the collection of mountain plants - here you can see in the micro-scale specimens of plants the Tatra, Pieniny and Bieszczady mountains.
