Nature Reserve Przadki is located in the municipality of Korczyna, on the border of the village Czarnorzeki and Korczyna, just next to the street from Krosno to Rzeszów. The name of the reserve derives from the legend that says that those rocks are girls turned to stone. The virgins have being punished for spinning flax on holidays.
At the entrance to the reserve, just off the road there is a small parking lot - big enough to host only a few cars, 1.8 km away there is another parking, slightly larger.
The entrance to the reserve is impressive indeed, because you have to go up the rather unusual stairs, set up by the roots of trees.
Going forward it is even more interesting, because you enjoy the interesting stone forms or a set of rocky island mountains, built of coarse sandstone of Ciężkowice. Under the influence of erosion these beautiful and original shapes have been created. Some of these rocks have their own names: Przadka-Baba (Spinner-Baba), Przadka-Matka (Spinner-Mother) or Herszt (Chieftain).
For kids big and small a huge attraction is the ability to hide in the rocks or climb to the top of the big stone. It's great fun, but you have to be very careful especially the youngest children, as you can easily slip on leaves or turn the leg or even fall of the stones.
When visiting the reserve you should go for a walk on one of the five trails. You can choose from the following routes:
- Przadki - Strzelnica,
- Kamieniec - Przadki,
- Czarnorzeki - Dzial,
- Strzelinca - Sucha Góra
- and trail at Kamieniec Castle
Trails are rather not difficult, so even younger children should be able to walk on them. Of course, it depends only on the capabilities of the child.
Our recommended route is the black one: Przadki - Kamieniec, where you can see the ruins of the castle of Kamieniec in Odrzykoń.
