The Służewiec Racecourse is one of the largest and most beautiful places of this type in the world.
Boundary wall on the from the Puławska street, decorated with multicolored graffiti is well known to all residents of Warsaw. It's worth to come here one day with the whole family and spend some time watching the race.
Children will appeal to both horses and colorfully dressed riders, or ladies in a variety of hats. The race itself makes a great impression - both for adults and children, and additionally it gives the opportunity to see a fantastic emotional show within beautiful green area. You should go at least once!
On the hippodrome area there are restaurants - you can enjoy a barbecue, drink beer and eat ice cream.
In addition to the equestrian events at Służew concerts, picnics and other events are taking place.
Good to know:
- horse racing season starts in spring and lasts until late autumn;
- the most important events on the track are: the start of the racing season and the races: Derby and Grand Warsaw;
- the track was completed just before the outbreak of World War II, just on Saturday, June 3rd, 1939;
- Directions: take bus 300 from the Wilanowska station (operates on Saturdays and Sundays during the racing season).
