The Museum of Sport and Tourism in Karpacz is located in a characteristic wooden, historic house with painted shutters.
Here you can see the sports trophies from Winter Olympics, as well as view the items belonging to the well-known athletes such as the great Polish skater Erwina Ryś-Ferens, or the shirt of the ski jumper Adam Malysz.
Children will be interested in the history of mountain shelters, appearance of pastoral and sporting equipment. Ancient skis, skates, sled, or litter to carry tourists evoke a true sensation.
On the upper floor, you can see photographs of the Giant Mountains (Karkonosze), life-saving equipment with radio station, and in the preservation department you can see birds and animals - a curiousity here is a two-headed calf, although some children may be scared by him.
Permanent exhibition of the museum is divided into three sections: The origins and development of tourism, the history of winter sports and Nature Preservation. The Museum organizes temporary exhibitions as well.
