The Blue Lagoon is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Iceland. The center is located in the south-western part of the country, on the Reykjanes Peninsula, about 50 km away from Reykjavík.
This amazing geothermal swimming pool is open all year round. Rich in valuable minerals, including silica, sulfur sea water at a temperature of 37-39 ° C has healing and skin care properties. One of the attractions in addition to the bath is the cladding of the body, including the face, with silica mud, which is located in special containers placed around the pools.
The beautiful volcanic landscape of smoky chimneys around perfectly contrasts with the milky-turquoise water.
The facility offers also interesting spa treatments, there is also a restaurant and a hotel here (room prices from 160 ).
