Alton Towers is the biggest theme park in the UK.

It's divided into two parts - the entertainment and water park. The biggest attractions in the entertainment part include:

- Air - mega fast roller coaster

- Th13teen - rollercoaster

- Nemesis, which in 2008 was declared the 13th best rollercoaster in the world

- Rita - a train that accelerates in 2.5 seconds up to 100 km/h

and many more.

For children and for those who do not like so much adrenaline, attractions from the "Laughs & frights" series are awaiting and among them drains on a variety of rafting equipment, gold panning, Battle Galleons water cannons and a lot of much peaceful carousels.

The park also hosts two hotels - The Alton Towers Hotel and Spa and Splash Landings Hotel, The Alton Towers Waterpark, the Alton history museum as well as a Extraordinary Golf course, which has a special section for children.
