AQUOPOLIS Costa Dorada La Pineda

Aquopolis is the largest water park in Catalonia, located near the town of Salou.

Attractions in the park are very different in terms of difficulty, you'll find here something for everyone, and even the youngest children have here a special zone.

Mini Water Park is designed for children from 0 to 12 years. It is a modern, designed in a very thoughtful manner playground in... a huge pool of shallow water. It contains colored animals (some of which are bursting with water), water mushrooms, swings, a number of devices to transfer water (buckets, hoses, mills, shoulders and so on aquatic systems), as well as a variety of slides, bridges, pipes and water pistols. A true water paradise.

For older kids (and less bold adults) there are attractions as Speed Race, Zig-Zag and Rapids, and for the bravest: Black Hole, Huracan, Boomerang, Splash and Kamikaze.

You can rent yellow rubber rings, which you can use to swim and slide (obviously not everywhere), but it is not very cheap event. The loan must be paid for one wheel 9 Euro + 3 Euro refundable deposit. When a few people with family and assuming that everyone wants to have his own ring it is a lot, but worth it!

In the aquapark very large emphasis is placed on security issues - only at the wave  four lifeguards are on duty, who keep close watch at all bathers and all dangerous jumps, pushes, are acknowledged with a sharp whistle.

At the park is also a dolphinarium where you can watch dolphins and sea lions. Several times a day shows are held, during which the dolphins are doing jumps and fantastic tricks. It's worth to come a few minutes earlier before the specified time and get a good seat.

In Aquopolis there's also plenty of room for picnic: both at the  long benches under the roofs and on the grass under the trees. There are, of course, also the fast-food restaurants and a souvenir shop here.
