Parc de la Villette extends on an area of 55 hectares, making it the largest urban educational theme park in the French capital.
It offers many attractions for the whole family, from which the main one is the Town of Science and Industry (Cité des Sciences et de l'industrie).
In addition, on the park grounds there are: a concert hall (Zenith), an exhibition pavilion (Grande Halle), Music Centre (Cité de la musique), the Paris Music Conservatory (Conservatoire de Paris), exhibition and trade center (Grande Halle de la Villette) widescreen cinema (La Geode), submarine (L'Argonautei) and large playground.
In 12 thematic gardens there are places designed specifically for children. Here you can arrange a picnic on the grass, and jogging. The Main Avenue (Promenade des Jardins) connects the different parts of the park. So hereyou'll find the Garden of childhood fears (Jardin des frayeurs enfantines) Dragon Garden (Garden of the Dragon) with a giant dragon slide, Mirror Garden (Jardin des Miroirs) with gleaming monoliths, hidden among the trees, bamboo garden (Jardin des Bamboo ), where about 30 species of bamboo are grown, Acrobatic Garden (Jardin des Voltiges) motion games (trampolines, ropes, obstacle course), or the ecological Passenger Garden (Jardin des Passagers), where you can admire the fantastic nature: ornamental plants, fruit trees, vegetables and herbs. Workshops are organized for different age groups (even for 3-year-old children).
For children under 13 years (of course accompanied by an adult) there is a Dunes and Wind Garden (Jardis et des Vents des Dunes), full of inflatable toys and holiday games.
The area is huge, so you have the book "a little" time.
In the park there are obviously different restaurants, cafes and shops.
