Stanserhorn Bahn - Cabrio Bahn

Stanserhorn is a mountain in the Urner Alps with an altitude of 1898 meters above sea level.

Since 1893 a wooden train is in operation, which can be used by the visitors to reach the  intermediate Kälti station.

From June 2012 the newest Cabrio Cable Car platform opened a way up to the peak. It is the world's first two-storey cable car, which doesn't have roof on the upper level, so we can feel the wind in your hair, the true mountain air and enjoy breathtaking views. The bottom level with glass windows can accommodate about 60 people, the top level 30 people.

The track distance is 2,320 m, and it takes 6 minutes and 24 seconds to the top station in the height of 1850 m above sea level. There is a revolving restaurant (1 full rotation takes about 45 minutes) equipped not only with tables and chairs but also sunbeds and a viewing platform with an extraordinary panorama including ten lakes and three neighboring countries.

From Stanserhorn you can take one of the beautiful hiking trails, where with some luck you may even meet marmots.
