The Amusement Park Tusenfryd means "a thousand joys," and one can easily say that this is true here.
Only about 20 kilometers from Oslo, the capital of Norway, it is a popular place of entertainment for the whole family.
The park officially opened in June 1988 and its first attractions were the western town and Vikingland. In later years, it was expanded and improved. Currently, we can find almost everything you need for a good time from a number of rollercoasters, carousels, electric cars to water slides and themed zones.
Among the coasters we will find among others: the SpeedMonster, Jaap SpaceShot - a 67 meter tower, which first raises the adventurers in their seats by then flush them down at the dizzying speed of 100 km/h The biggest rollercoaster in Tusenfryd is Thundercoaster, which was ranked by the Discovery Channel at the honorable 5th place and thus enrolled in the European Top 10 list. Younger also catered for, there are slow rides, playgrounds, parks and queues here.
New in 2013 is to be the Dark Ride, multimedia entertainment, based on Norse mythology, the only such attraction in Europe.
In the park there are numerous dining options, offering snacks and hot and cold beverages.
